What does it mean to follow Jesus?

I realize that I am a sinner and am in need of a savior.

 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

I recognize that Jesus died on the cross for me.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

I repent of my sin.

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of rereading may come from the Lord.” (Acts 3:19)

I receive Jesus Christ into my life as Lord and Savior.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

What are my next steps now that I’ve decided to follow Jesus?

Know God intimately so that you can give Him glory

  • Prayer – Spend time talking to God daily, approaching Him with awe and love.
  • Bible Reading – Study God’s Word to understand His character and purpose for your life. 
  • Holy Spirit – Be sensitive to His leading, allowing Him to guide and empower you.

Choose to grow in relationship with Jesus and relationship with the body of Christ.

  • Take a seat at the table. Dinner Parties are a great opportunity to connect and grow in relationships.
  • Commit to growth. Growth Groups intentionally seek ways to deepen your faith through discipleship.
  • Serving is our Privilege. Use your gifts and talents to contribute to the TEAM.

Step out of your comfort zone to reach the world for Christ.

  • Live Out Your Faith. Reflect Christ in your words and actions.
  • Share the Gospel. Tell others about the hope and love found in Jesus.
  • Engage in Service. Join a KIND serve opportunity to make an impact!
